| Joan Brumley is a local mountain area artist and art instructor known for her use of transparent watercolor in a bright, fresh manner. She owns and operates a gallery in Coarsegold. Additionally, she teaches classes and displays many of the works of her students at her studio. She travels and teaches all over the world. On a cruise to Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas, she provided instruction in watercolor for the passengers.
Ms. Brumley’s work is displayed at the Madera Arts Council as well as local Oakhurst galleries. Some of her paintings are included in large corporate collections, including the Kaiser Hospital Clinic, Saint Agnes Clinic, and the corporate offices of the Robert L. Young Corp. She provided the artwork for the Fresno County Federal Credit Union ATM and Visa card and a poster for the viticulture wine tasting at Fresno State University. |
